How Jayden Daniels won the  Heisman Trophy 2023

On Saturday night, Jayden Daniels, the quarterback for LSU, got the 2023 Heisman Trophy. He got this big award in college football because he had a fantastic season playing for the Tigers.

This century, it's the 20th time a quarterback has won the Heisman. Jayden Daniels is now LSU's third Heisman winner. Before him, there was quarterback Joe Burrow in 2019 and back in 1959, halfback Billy Cannon also won it for LSU.

LSU quarterback Daniels got a lot of support with 503 first-place votes and total of 2,029 points. At second Placed Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with 292 total of 1,701 points. Oregon quarterback Bo Nix third position with 51 total of 885 points.

What he did: 236 of 327 (72.2%) for 3,812 yards, 40 TDs, 4 INTs, 1,134 rush yards, 10 rush TDs

"This is a dream come true, Daniels said in his acceptance speech. I want to thank God for all the glory. He's my rock and savior. God blessed me with talents to get here. Special people helped me develop these skills."
